This course is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of data security and the technological challenges facing today’s real estate brokerages. Participants will learn to recognize data security risks, identify common scams and fraud, apply best practices for email and password protection, and review essential company data-security policies. The class will also cover how to prepare for technology-related disasters and ensure that agents are using technology safely and responsibly.

PLEASE NOTE:
60 total hours in any order are required to make application for your broker license. You must have 24 months salesperson experience when you apply to the Iowa Real Estate Commission
Each course certificate is valid for 24 months from the date of completion.
Courses taken via Zoom are considered LIVE.
If taking a course via Zoom you MUST have visual and audio contact with the instructor at all times. Student is expected to be present for the class; not working, texting, driving, etc...

During a renewal period a course may be repeated for credit only if the course numbers and instructors are different.
Full-Time attendance is required to receive credit. Students who arrive late, leave early, or leave during class will not receive a certificate.
